Camera app

RAVidEn camera application.

The camera application does three things:

  • It polls the controller for the tags you choose.
  • It draws those tags on the video as text, indicators, tables and charts, on every stream the camera produces.
  • The DataBorder writes the tag data into the picture so that a recording carries the data with it.

Everything is configured in the camera's browser interface. There are no files to edit on the camera and no software to install anywhere else.

Getting started

  1. Check the requirements for the camera, the controller and the network.
  2. Install the package on the camera and open the RAVidEn interface.
  3. Connect a controller and confirm that values arrive.
  4. Add tags and place them on the overlay.

That is enough to see live values and the DataBorder on the video.

The camera's own analytics are a data source too. Camera events turns Object Analytics and motion detection into tags, so a recording carries who was in front of the machine alongside what the machine was doing.
